We had a lovely stay at the Bank House Bed and Breakfast. Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy. Our room had a very large bathroom with bathtub (barrier-free) and plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed with heating blanket. There‘s private parking behind the house. Tourist attractions (Dunnet Head, Castle of May, …) in short driving distance. The full Scottish Breakfast was excellent! There are also several alternative options (including vegetarian). We highly recommend staying at the Bank House and would love to come back anytime.

I felt at home here. It was a wonderful experience. They look after you so lovingly, give you great tips for excursions and support you in every way if you want to go on a day trip to Orkney. They even gave me sandwiches because I didn't have time for breakfast. And even binoculars. You can also have a great chat with them, which is great because the idea of B&B for me is to socialise with the locals. But don't worry, if you want your peace and quiet, you'll be left in peace. You can reach good restaurants in the neighbourhood in just a few minutes. There is also a shop and petrol station next door. My room was very large and very clean. It is a former bank building and has nice high ceilings. You can park your car on the property. There is plenty of space. I hope they stay the way they are.

The hotel is in a converted old bank. The rooms are generous and have high ceilings. Large shower room and large shower. The icing on the cake was discovering the electric blanket! Breakfast was delicious, omelette with baked beans was quickly yummed down. After some proper thick toast, made from good quality bread with bits in. No evening meal but don't bother with Thurso. One hotel , practically next door and one a few miles away are both open to non-residents in their restaurants.

Perfect place for a stay when going on the trip to Orkney. Newly renovated, beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely breakfast in a woodland decorated dining room, covid secure for each diner at different time slots. Disabled room with ease of access and able to accommodate service dog. Hosts extremely attentive and helpful. Truly best place to stay in Thurso area

Wow what a fabulous surprise. My room was AMAZING biggest I've ever had. A truly unique old building, looked after extremely well by a lovely couple. Very welcoming, friendly & professional, there was nothing the room didn't have!!! Lovely coloured bed linen & towels (instead of boring white) immaculately clean, everywhere (I check). Huge bathroom as well as bedroom, facilities for a guest with disabilities. A lovely unexpected pleasure. Really wanted to bring the lamp home with me.

Lovely hosts, we enjoyed a brilliant stay, great facilities, especially the family room with separate bunk room for the kids. Very clean, well maintained and lots of little extras in the room to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast for us was pancakes and cooked vegetarian breakfast. We would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you
